What should I bring to class? You do not need to bring anything with you to class. We will supply all of the equipment you require to have a safe and happy experience. However, if you own your own paddleboard and paddle please feel free to bring it with you. Important: If you are attending your first class with us, please remember to bring your completed waiver form.
What should I wear to class? Wear something comfortable that is easy for you to move around in, the same type of clothing you would wear to a yoga class. We also highly recommend sunscreen, as you will likely be in direct sun for the entire class. If it is your first class or you are trying a new class for the first time, you may want to bring a change of clothes.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer to participate? We recommend that you be comfortable swimming back to shore if you want to take a SUP class.
Do I have wear a life jacket during class? Canadian law requires that you keep a life jacket with you on your paddleboard while you are on the water. However, you are not required to wear it during class.
What if it rains or the weather is bad? If it is raining or extremely windy, classes are cancelled to ensure your safety. Please check our homepage 90 minutes prior to the start of class for details. You may register for another class at another date over the summer instead.
Do I need to take an intro class before I take another class? Unless you have previous SUP experience, you must take an intro class before you any of our other classes.
