Hi! I'm Laura Lee. My journey with yoga began in 2009 while searching for an alternative method to heal old sports injuries. Finding yoga not only helped my body physically; it also helped me heal mentally. With a keen interest in helping others, it seemed only fitting to do so through Yoga.
I completed my 200 Hr Yoga Alliance Certified training in 2013, in the mountains of Southern Spain. With a focus on Eastern tradition, alignment, anatomy and creative sequencing I came home inspired to share my knowledge and experience.
I have been drawn to board sports since high school, starting with Snowboarding, and I always wanted to learn how to surf. That dream came true in 2008 while traveling in Brazil and I fell in love. When I discovered that I could combine my Yoga practice with being on a board in the water, I was so excited! That excitement took me to Vancouver last May where I taught SUP Yoga all summer just off Kitsilano Beach with the beautiful Mountain view. When the season ended I landed back around family, close to my hometown, in Cobourg. The community here is great and Cobourg Beach is so beautiful and inviting. I also teach regularly at a studio in town called Karma Lifestyle, where I have been welcomed by so many amazing people and yogis in the area.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to share the peaceful practice Yoga on the water brings. My classes will bring focus to mindfulness, total body awareness, gentle movement and some challenge for all levels to enjoy! See you on the water
